Farmhouse Delivery and A Torrid Affair are having another benefit dinner, this Wednesday, November 16, and all of the proceeds will go to Urban Roots.  Details poached from the Farmhouse Delivery site are here:

“Wednesday, November 16th : Farmhouse Delivery Chef’s Table Dinner : A Torrid Affair at Urban Roots 7:00

Farmhouse Delivery joins forces with Austin’s Non-Profit Chef’s Table Supper Club, A TORRID AFFAIR for a very special Farmhouse Chef’s Table Dinner to benefit Urban Roots, a youth development program that uses sustainable agriculture as a means to transform the lives of young people and increase access to healthy food in Austin.  By growing sustainably farmed vegetables, young people work together to serve the community, cultivate farming and business skills, learn the value of meaningful work, and discover how to eat and cook in healthy ways.

Join us for a five course dinner set under the stars overlooking the abundant fields of Urban Roots Farm. The menu for the evening will feature cuisine and cocktails conceived by Peche Executive Chef Jason Dodge and Volstead Lounge Cocktail Director Justin Elliot.  $65, includes cocktail pairing with each course.  All proceeds benefit Urban Roots–click here for tickets.”

I have attended one of these A Torrid Affair dinners, and highly recommend it!  The food and cocktail pairings are interesting and really fun.
