Friday, was eat out with family day – I seem to have fallen off the cooking at home wagon, again. So, no breakfast, lunch at Fino with my mother and I had the Salmon over a mixture of sauteed peppers. Dinner at Eddie V’s, and I had the Filet with 2 stuffed shrimp, and broccoli.
Saturday was UT game day, and I was invited by some friends to attend the game. So, breakfast was a breakfast taco at a tailgate party. After the game we had been invited to attend a wine tasting with noted wine author Oz Clarke at Max’s Wine Dive. The wines we tried were spectacular, and he gave a very interesting talk. No food was served, so after tasting wine we needed to eat something, so we stayed and ordered Max’s homemade potato chips with blue cheese, and the hummus plate. Not really a healthy food day, but Day 297 will be a vast improvement, with all kinds of locally sourced goodness at the Green Corn Project Annual Fundraiser at Boggy Creek Farm.
