Yikes, I’m totally behind.  This past week was absolutely crazy, with lots of great events.  I ate almost every meal out.   So, here goes.

Day 203, lunch was salad with my Mom at Maudies.  She always wants Mexican, but I had a salad.  I was invited to an event at La Sombra, a new restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Sampaio.  It has been re-done is is very sleek and modern.  We had a pisco sour, and sampled some South American fare.  The spicy quail on a skewer was memorable.

Dinner, was the Kocurek Summer Supper at the Swoop house.  There will be another post dedicated to this dinner, here shortly.

Day 204, Friday.  For lunch, I parked myself in a corner at Cafe Josie to try to finish Medium Raw, Anthony Bourdain’s new book, and had grilled red snapper and salad.

Dinner with my parents, was salad, and the filet at Mirabelle.  Always perfectly cooked, and very tasty.  I love this restaurant.

Day 205, finally a day at home.  I was so happy to eat in.  I had scrambled Vital Farms eggs for breakfast.  I had thawed a rack of Richardson Farms pork ribs and popped those in the smoker around 1:00.  Dinner, was ribs, and roasted farmer’s market potatoes with my garden onions.

Aww, sorry I missed you at La Sombra! We got there late…you must have already left for the Kocurek dinner.

  2. Yep, I was there early with Christian and Jamie then C and I headed to the Swoop House for way too much dinner. Hope to see you really soon, friend!
