Yesterday was Day 163. I woke up to a kitchen that looked like some kind of natural disaster had occurred. Or perhaps a paella party for 20 people. After dealing with the kitchen, I met some friends at Mulberry for brunch. Zac Northcutt (the chef) is a culinary master. I had toasted Brioche, with Gruyere, panchetta, and fried egg. That hit the spot and a couple of Mimosas took care of the rest.
I didn’t want to cook dinner, and fortunately, my genius pizza making friend, Christian (www.austinfoodjournal.com) was testing new toppings for pizzas and invited me over to test kitchen night. So, pizza for dinner and for now, the toppings are a secret.
