Cedar Park Farmer’s Market June 12, 2010

I’ve been meaning to see what all the fuss is about at this new Cedar Park Farmer’s Market, for weeks now.  Today, I finally made it out there.  I’m impressed.  At first, it is hard to get used to being in a Mall parking lot, but the variety of, and quantity of vendors was really impressive.  I didn’t write down the whole list, but everything was covered, produce, Full Quiver Cheese, Swede Goat Dairy, Kocurek Family Charcuterie, GoodPops, Gluten Free Bread, Gulf Shrimp, there is a plant vendor, Kelly Jo’s Salsa, which I’ve been out of and missing for weeks, Way Back When Dairy, and the list goes on.  The attendance was impressive also, in spite of the heat.  I think Cedar Park was really needing a good market.  And this is a great market.  Word on the street is that the same folks are opening a market in Lakeway soon.

Gorgeous Produce

Tecolote Farm

Watermelon Radishes

Sweetish Hill Pasta

Full Quiver Farms - a favorite of mine

Pralines!

Kocurek Family Artisinal Charcuterie of course

Great Farmer’s Market all around.  Head on out next Saturday and get your local on!

  1. Thanks for the market review! I am the gluten-free bread baker and appreciate the press.
