Wow, April went by fast!  If you are feeling behind in your Spring Garden, no worries, there is still time to get lots of plants in the ground.

Crop                  Days to Maturity                  Spring Planting Dates

Bean, bush      50-60                                        April 1 – May 1

Bean, pole        65-75                                       April 1 – May 1

Corn                     80-100                                    March 15 – June 1

Eggplant             75-80                                        April 1 – May 15

Okra                      55-60                                        April 1 – June 1

Peas, southern  60-70                                       April 1 – August 1

Peppers               65-80                                        April 1 – June 1

Potato, sweet   90-150                                       April 15 – June 15

Squash winter    85-90                                        April 1 – August 1

Tomatoes             70-85                                        March 25 – May 1

Watermelon        80-90                                        March 20-May 1

Perhaps one day I’ll learn how to format this thing so it doesn’t look wonky.  If you are bummed about not getting tomatoes in for the Summer Crop, don’t fret, it will be time to plant them again for Fall on June 1st.
