Wednesday was another busy garden day, but I managed breakfast before heading out, a big bowl of strawberries, and coffee with milk. Lunch was 2 Thunderheart Bison jerky’s. Dinner was a bison taco from Taco Deli at the Farmer’s Market, then later some Richardson Farms brisket that I had smoked previously and had in the freezer.
Thursday, was the day we started loading in for the Green Living Home and Garden Show. Austin Urban Gardens has a big booth at this show, and being down there for the next 3 days will alter my diet substantially. For lunch, a brisket sandwich from Iron Works. Dinner with my mom at Maudies. Normally we load up on Sweetish Hill sandwiches to nibble on during the day – sometimes it is so crowded, you can’t even eat. But there will also be food there, Better Bites of Austin has a Booth, and Terra Burger did last year. I saw a popcorn vendor and Vitamix will be making samples throughout the day.
