No Grocery Store, Day 101 April 12, 2010

Yesterday, was a good food day.  More strawberries for breakfast.  Then Kristi of http://www.austinfarmtotable fame and I attended the East Austin Urban Farm Tour.  So what I’ll call lunch was delicious bites of sausage and pickled vegetables from Dai Due at Springdale Farm, an amazing “all of the broccoli” salad from Jeffries at Boggy Creek Farm, and an amazing rabbit salad sandwich from Olivia at Rain Lily Farm.  (pictures to come)

For dinner, I sautéed a swordfish steak from San Miguel Seafood (downtown market) in some Elevated Artisanal butter, thyme from my garden, preserved lemons made by the multi-talented Christian of www. austinfoodjournal.  I made some Lowell Farms Brown Jasmine Rice to go with it and it was heavenly.

  1. Kristi Says:

I am so proud of you that you have made it over 100 days. Thanks again for going on the East Austin Urban Farm Tour with us. The kids talked about you all the way home; well Sean did – Ali was asleep.

  2. Thanks Kristi! I had fun at the Farm tour, too. Fun kids!
