Raised Bed Gardening and Eating Well in Austin, Texas

No Grocery Store, Day 87 March 30, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — austinurbangardens @ 9:32 am

Busy day installing gardens in South Austin and Georgetown.  I did manage to make some Kocurek bacon and scramble a couple Vital Farms eggs for breakfast, along with coffee and Way Back When Dairy milk.

Lunch needed to be quick and on the road, but we couldn’t find anything on I-35 that we wanted to eat, as it was all fast food. So, we skipped lunch.

For dinner, I reheated some of the Richardson Farm’s brisket, I’d smoked on Sunday, and made a salad from garden lettuce, farmer’s market hothouse tomato, and roasted some asparagus from Saturday’s market with Texas Olive Ranch olive oil and Fig balsalmic vinegar.
