Thanks for the nice comment. We are very lucky to be able to garden 12 months a year in Austin. We also have lots of farmer's markets and farms from whom we can get fresh produce, eggs, cheeses, etc. Our winters are pretty mild, but the summers can be challenging. Thanks again for reading!

Your garden looks beautiful, and I'm jealous! We've been under a nice blanket of snow for more than a week here in Virginia. The produce at your local farmer's market looks great as well. We've got a few more months before we have fresh produce again.

Thanks for sharing!

Carla,
An update.... I have potted my two black berry plants within the last week. I am looking to pot my two blueberry plants soon. In addition, I picked up a raspberry plant and grape plant this evening. I will also be putting these both in pots and allow to grow along my fence line where I will have a trellis. However, at the time of purchase the girl at the cash registered mentioned the grapes can be messy and may attract ants :-( Good time to tell someone after they purchased them... I will keep you posted on my progress...

Best,
Sandra

Impressive pictures of your winter garden. I am still waiting for my broccoli, cabbage and spinach to make some progress. I believe I may have transplanted late for the season. We will see...

Hi Carla,
I am happy to see you planted your onions. I planted mind around early October. I planted both yellow and red from onion sets I got from Walmart. I am buying cheaper vegetable sets until I become more confident in my growing of vegetables and fruits. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Best,
Sandra

Oh! That cabbage is gorgeous! It makes me want to make pad thai.

There are just toooooo many things I want to grow myself. I hope I don't overcrowd my new Earthbox!

Hey, you write a blog, and it includes information about food you grow in your garden! That totally counts. However, we would nevertheless be clamoring for you to be part of the food bloggers' group even if it didn't.
